JEBA organizes a Panel Discussion entitled “The Repercussions of UK's Withdrawal from the EU in cooperation of Amman Chamber of Commerce


Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Jawad Al Anani / Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, JEBA and Amman Chamber of Commerce organized a Panel Discussion entitled “The Repercussions of UK's Withdrawal from the EU", at Amman Chamber of Commerce, H.E. Dr. Anani highlighted on the Economic and Political Impacts on UK's Withdrawal from the EU, while Dr. Sabri Mohammad Al disi focused on the Impact of UK's Withdrawal from the EU on Sterling Pound.

 

H.E. Dr. Jawad Anani said that Jordan and the UK will start re-negotiating their bilateral trade agreements in two years, like the rest of other partners, after Brexit.

 

Mr. Jamal Fariz, JEBA President said that UK's Withdrawal from the EU is one of the most important issues at the moment, where the impact will exceed British and European interests to reach its impacts to the international and domestic economy.

 

 Fariz added that most of the results indicate that the economic consequences of UK's Withdrawal from the EU will confine to the United Kingdom itself, and will not extend to its major trading partners

 

Mr. Ghassan Khirfan, First Vice President of Amman Chamber of Commerce talked about the challenges that will face EU after UK’s withdrawal noting that those effects are still limited on the global economy.

 

Dr. Sabri Mohammad Al Disi / JEBA member and the Economic and Financial Advisor reviewed EU history reaching to UK’s withdrawal focusing on Sterling pound status after the results of last referendum.
