JEBA organizes a seminar on “ Support Programs Extended by Dutch Government”

Under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Yarub Qudah, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply JEBA organized a seminar on “Support Programs Extended by Dutch Government” in cooperation with Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands.


H.E. Mr. Yousef Al Shamali, Secretary General of Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply praised the historical ties between Jordan and Netherlands, he also expressed the appreciation of Jordan for the continuous support that Dutch government extends to Jordan by signing the agreement of simplification of Rules of Origins between Jordan and EU which will facilitate accessing Jordanian products to European markets.


H.E. Senator Issa Murad, Chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce  praised the strength of cooperation ties between Amman Chamber of Commerce, Jordan Europe Business Association, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and Dutch Embassy in Amman, assuring  the importance of support programs extended by Dutch government.


On the other hands, H.E. Mr. Jamal Fariz, JEBA President said that Dutch government adopted a number of programs aimed at encouraging Dutch companies to support Jordan, he mentioned that JEBA is responsible about Netherlands Senior Expert Program (PUM) in cooperation with Dutch Embassy which aims to extend technical assistance for various sectors.


Mrs. Corine de Jongh, Project Consultant of Netherlands Enterprise Agency presented an explanation about support programs extended by Dutch Government which aim to enhance Trade and economic ties between Jordan and Netherlands, focusing on enhancing international trade and aids, supporting Dutch Entrepreneur in doing business abroad.


He added that this kind of support includes a number of sectors such as: Water, Food Stuff and Infrastructure.


Mr. Coen Van Haeringen, Country Coordinator of Netherlands Senior Expert Program (PUM) presented a detailed explanation about the program work mechanism and the ways of taking advantage from it through technical assistances and consultancies  that the program extends to SMEs to upgrade the competitiveness of Jordanian companies and factories and develop their work mechanism by attracting qualified experts from various fields, mentioning that 250 experts have been attracted for assisting Jordanian companies.


Mr. Basem Naouri, Economic and Commercial officer at Dutch Embassy mentioned that the Dutch Government is seeking to provide Jordan with all kinds of assistances for bearing the burdens of Syrian refugees and assisting public and private companies for developing.
