A Jordanian trade delegation discussed ways of developing bilateral trade and investment relations in Slovenia and starting a new economic stage that brings together the private sector institutions of both sides.

The visit, which lasted several days, was organized by the Jordanian European Business Association (JEBA) in cooperation with the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia in Amman and the SPIRIT Slovenia – Public Agency for Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology.

During the visit to SPIRIT Slovenia, the delegation, headed by JEBA President Jamal Badran, stressed the importance of developing economic relations between the two countries to increase the volume of trade exchanges to higher levels.

At the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between JEBA and SPIRIT Slovenia to develop economic and trade relations between the two countries and to strengthen mechanisms and means of cooperation and joint coordination by encouraging the establishment of joint projects.

Under the MoU, participation in activities, events, exhibitions, conferences and exchange of delegations would be facilitated.

The delegation visited many Slovenian institutions and companies to learn about future cooperation opportunities and to benefit from Slovenian expertise in many economic sectors, especially in the tourism, hospitality, metal industries and electrical appliances.
