Brief: The Embassy of Czech Republic in Amman held Jordan Czech Business Forum in the fields of Geology, Mining, Chemicals, Fertilizers and Mineral Resources, in cooperation with Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA), Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Czech Ministry of Industry & Trade, Jordan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Amman Chamber of Industry, the forum was attended by a number of officials and businessmen who are specialized in these fields.
The Embassy of Czech Republic in Amman held Jordan Czech Business Forum in the fields of Geology, Mining, Chemicals, Fertilizers and Mineral Resources, in cooperation with Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA), Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Czech Ministry of Industry & Trade, Jordan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Amman Chamber of Industry, the forum was attended by a number of officials and businessmen who are specialized in these fields.
H.E. Mr. Josef Koutsky / Ambassador of Czech Republic in Amman reviewed the depth of Bilateral trade, calling Businessmen from both sides to hold further B2B Meetings which contribute in enhancing the economic ties particularly in Geology, Mining, energy and mineral resources.
Mr. Pavel Kavina / Director Mineral Politics at the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade focused on the investment opportunities that the borders between Jordan and the Czech Republic provide for cooperation and access to these markets, the exploitation of mineral resources and the discovery of more areas which are rich in natural mineral resources in Jordan that have not been yet discovered, he also indicated the history of mining in the Czech Republic and the widespread interest in this field.
He pointed out that the Czech participated companies are the most important companies in the field of mining, energy and mineral wealth, considering the forum as a strong opportunity for cooperation and investment with their Jordanian counterparts.
Eng. Jamal Badran / JEBA President presented the role that JEBA plays in enhancing trade and economic relations with the Czech Republic and other European countries by providing an important platform for discussing alliances and joint projects, pointing to the development that these relations were reinforced by official visits at the highest levels.
During the forum, some presentations were made about energy and mineral resources, how to exploit them in Jordan, the ministry's experience and its applications, and the achievements that the Ministry reached in this sector compared to other countries.
Dr. Muhammad Ali Al-Otoom / the Chairman of Jerash Chamber of Commerce, and the Board member of Jordan Chamber of Commerce spoke on behalf of the President of Jordan Chamber of Commerce about Jordanian-Czech relations and praised the importance of economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of mineral wealth and mining industries, as the Kingdom is rich in many Mineral areas which have not been yet discovered.
The Participants talked about the business community’s ability in both countries to build links and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the free trade agreements that Jordan signed with most countries, and access to the most important consumer markets worldwide.
On the sidelines of the forum, bilateral meetings were held between companies and businessmen from both sides.
