JEBA held a press conference during which Eng. Jamal Badran, JEBA President, talked about the most important activities and events that will be carried out by JEBA during the coming period, in particular, the organization of a trade mission to Slovenia and Croatia for establishing cooperation network between the companies of two countries in the fields of investment and trade exchange, searching for commercial & investment partnerships and promoting the available Jordanian economic opportunities

Badran stressed the importance of promoting the Kingdom under the current circumstances, seizing opportunities and attracting new investments that contribute to the advancement of the national economy and provide more job opportunities for Jordanians.

He said that enhancing joint trade and investment between Jordanian businessmen and their counterparts in the EU countries is considered as a special priority for JEBA, recognizing the importance of cooperation between the Kingdom and EU, noting that the exchange of delegations between the Kingdom and Europe is a strategic objective to support economic development which reflects on the rates of national economy growth and improves citizens' livelihood according to the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

During the meeting, which was attended by JEBA Vice President / Ali Murad and the sectoral committees' official, Eng. Fawaz Qattan, Badran said that JEBA has a comprehensive program to be implemented during the next phase to serve its 400 members .

He pointed out that JEBA is keen to communicate continuously with the commercial attaches in EU embassies in Amman to deal with obstacles and issues facing Jordanian exporters and importers most notably which are related to rules of origin.

He also stressed the need to encourage exports to European countries through promoting Jordanian products and intensifying visits of trade delegations to  various EU countries, focusing on  the existence of real Jordanian opportunities in the European markets, especially services and tourism, noting that (JEBA) since its establishment in 1995 is seeking to promote the investment environment in Jordan, benefits and incentives offered to employers, as well as promote trade and open new European export markets.

Badran pointed out that JEBA will launch soon its website which is considered as a commercial platform to enhance trade cooperation between its members, stressing the need to activate the role of diplomatic missions and Jordanian embassies abroad to promote the Kingdom economically and facilitate the entry of local products to European markets.

He also talked about Netherlands Senior Expert program (PUM), which is implemented by JEBA and covers all commercial, industrial and service sectors.
