JEBA Board of Directors hold discussions with EU Ambassador

JEBA Board of Directors met the Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to Jordan / Mrs. Maria Hadjithiodosio, where the two sides discussed the possibility of cooperation between JEBA and the European Union embassy in many economic activities, projects and programs of mutual interest that serve JEBA members. the two sides agreed the participation of the European Union embassy in the seminar that JEBA will hold in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, in which the EU projects and programs adopted by the embassy will be presented.

 

During the meeting, the two sides also agreed to hold workshops and joint training programs which aim to identify the challenges facing Jordanian exports in entering European markets, and activating the benefits from the Simplification of the Rules of Origin agreement especially after the recent EU facilities granted to Jordan.

JEBA expressed its willingness to assist EU embassy in holding joint activities aimed at identifying EU Embassy’s programs and initiatives which target Jordanian business community.

The importance of increasing the European investments flow to Jordan was also mentioned, thanks to the stability as the biggest incentive for investment, which would create joint Jordanian-European investment projects aimed at enhancing cooperation between JEBA Members and their European counterparts
