A Jordanian business delegation organized by the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA) visited the Kingdom of Norway from February 11 to 14, 2024. The visit was organized in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy in Amman and the Jordanian Embassy in Oslo.
The delegation, headed by JEBA Chairman Ali Murad, held bilateral meetings, a series of seminars, and field visits to companies and factories. The aim of the visit was to explore cooperation opportunities and discuss regulatory frameworks and policies in various fields between the two countries.
A number of Jordanian companies participating in the delegation presented an overview of their businesses, visions, and goals. These companies share a commitment to a better future by utilizing all available resources and achieving the concept of sustainability.
The delegation included companies specializing in the following sectors:
Energy
Water
Tourism
Agriculture (including vegetables, fruits, and dates)
Chemicals
Aquaculture (fish farming)
Informal meetings were held between the companies and interested members of the Norwegian business community to study the markets for further investment, agreements, and long-term economic partnerships.
JEBA is keen to promote Jordanian-Norwegian trade, increase exports, explore export opportunities, and attract new investments between the two countries. The relationship between the two kingdoms is strong. According to the latest foreign trade figures issued by the Department of Statistics, the Kingdom's exports to Norway reached 3 million dinars in the first ten months of 2023, compared to imports of 9 million dinars for the same period.
