At the "Forum on Enhancing Efficiency in the Industrial Sector" held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the Jordan Chamber of Industry launched the Center for Energy and Environmental Sustainability in Industry (CEESI), in partnership with the USAID-funded Energy Sector Support Program. The event was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Minister of Energy, and attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Mr. Hani Abu Hassan.
During the ceremony, Eng. Ma'an Ayasra delivered a presentation on the center's future activities and projects, emphasizing the center's role in promoting energy and environmental sustainability initiatives such as energy audits, green factories, and resource efficiency programs. Additionally, the Data Management System (DMS) for managing energy data and consumption in the industrial sector was unveiled.
The forum also featured sessions on energy transformation opportunities presented by Eng. Maysem Al-Attoum, and Ms. Rawan Al-Ghreir, who shared successful industrial sustainability stories. This marks an important step toward enhancing Jordan's role in sustainability and energy.
