Mr. Ali Murad emphasized that economic cooperation between Jordan and the European Union forms a strategic pillar that supports national economic growth and sustainable development. He pointed out that the European market offers significant opportunities for Jordanian exports, particularly in the industrial and agricultural sectors. He also explained that the recently signed Comprehensive Partnership Agreement includes a support package worth 3 billion euros for the years 2025-2027, which covers grants, investments, and macroeconomic support, reflecting the EU’s commitment to Jordan.
Mr. Murad highlighted that trade agreements allow most Jordanian products to be exempt from customs duties, and the volume of trade has increased, with exports rising and imports from Europe decreasing. He also mentioned investment opportunities in renewable energy, digital transformation, tourism, and education, stressing the importance of improving product quality and facilitating exports to enhance export growth.
He emphasized the role of the Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA) in promoting economic cooperation and organizing events to support Jordanian companies, affirming that the partnership with the European Union strengthens Jordan’s position as a regional economic hub.
